Abandon is a strong word when no one seems to have a choice as to how we come and go. I think temporary relationships can be just as strong and important as long lasting ones. Everyone can teach us something new, and craft fond memories.
I understand the sentiment, however. Losing others you're close with is never easy.
( Abandon is a strong word and an even stronger feeling too. )
What's the point in forming a bond with someone who you will lose eventually? That's unnecessary hurt. You really think there's going to be any fond memories from that? What's the point of remembering someone you will never see again?
In the end, everything ends. Even aeons and immortals turn to dust. Time is the great enemy, but.. every relationship has meaning, even those that are short. They teach us about others, and about ourselves, and their memory remains.
I'm sorry you feel that way. Losing others is not easy.
@skirm;
Because it's temporary?

Is there any other reason? Find someone to call family here, and they'll just abandon you eventually.
